This is a pretty straightforward opt-out post. Nigel, as a character, comes from a canon that is rife with topics that could both trigger or squick individuals. Although Nigel is meant to make people uncomfortable, I also don't want him to ruin anyone else's experiences playing in the game, especially if it is going to upset any of my fellow players. Now most of this never comes up in causal conversation, obviously, but because Nigel is something of a duplicitous character, it does sometimes manifest in his internal monologue or the spam in action tags.

If you as a player or your characters would like to avoid any of the following topics, please let me know and I'll make sure to ween them out of Nigel's interactions with you. (Please note, of the list, the first one is perhaps the hardest to avoid given its importance to Nigel's canon. Yes, I know, his canon is a horrible, horrible place.)

While Nigel is still totally cleared to talk about it if the matter's ever brought up, rape is a bit of a touchy subject with me? If it's unavoidable, then by all means! But I figured I'd just let you have a heads up in advance.

But the rest, I mean, go for it. Most of this is in Holmes' line of work anyway.

go for it. I'm OK (and actually encouraging it) even though Chase is totally uncomfortable with it. By all means bring up the crazy child abuse.

On a personal level I am pretty uncomfortable with sexual and child abuse themes so I'd really appreciate those being toned down for my tags. In game, both my characters are cleared for the rest of it and expect some rather unsurprising reactions :')
